My practice has changed a lot since I graduated in 2012 with my undergraduate degree. Our class left Athlone Institute of Technology with the parting words, "make sure you get a letter from the office to say you have left education, so you can 'sign on'!"… that didn't instill a lot of confidence in me around the job market or the industry, so I made the decision to apply for a Master's degree. I was very glad that I did, and was lucky enough to secure an internship in the Arts sector because of it. Once that had concluded, I was worried that I didn't have as much practical experience in a corporate setting as was deemed necessary to feel like a real and valid practitioner.
