BEHIND CIDA DESIGN
Thank you for visiting my website. My name is Caitríona Maher, but I go by Cat :) My brand name 'Cida' was the invention of my niece Julia (now 7), and it stuck. I couldn't think of a better name for my business. It comes from the heart and I can't think of a more beautiful expression of what I do, then that perceived through the eyes of a then two year old.
was born in the beautiful rural countryside of Laois, in Ireland, and now I have nestled myself in the the stunning rural countryside of Carlow (about an hour from where I grew up!). In between I have also lived in Spain and Portugal, but apparently the sun is not so high on my priority list.
I graduated with a 1:1, First Class Honours BA hons in Design in Visual Communications (AIT) in 2012, I graduated with a 1:1, First Class Honours in MA In Professional Design Practise (DIT).
I have worked in a number of professional and senior design roles in Ireland and Europe, including, the arts sector, publishing, and B2B communications over the past 10 years. I have been a part of are Maverick Intl, Messenger, Laois Arthouse and Alarcon Criado.
